Back when having your own website and buying your own domain name was still a new thing, Doug Fieger and The Knack’s “Number One Fan,” Ethan Barborka, designed the first incarnation of Knack.com. With Doug critiquing each and every design option, and Ethan enthusiastically supplying the required content the site was the perfect online presence for the band.

But the Internet has changed since those days. And social networking was not even a glimmer in Mark Zuckerberg’s eye. Now, with new happenings on The Knack newsfront an update was called for…

Tragically, since then we have lost both of these dear men (read Ethan’s obit here) and we have had to make our way through the design process without their valuable input. While this site is still a work in progress – more music, more pictures, more videos to come – we have tried to stay true to their spirit (which is to say, Doug’s exacting eye for style and Ethan’s faithfulness to the fan base). We hope you enjoy the results.
